Hi All

Tried searching without success, but I seem to remember reading previously on AFF that JQ were offering access to the OOL lounge for WP pax without payment.

I have just booked an upcoming flight from OOL ($79 to CNS - on the Friday sale fare - nice!) but checking through the FAQs I see this:

Q. Do Qantas Club Members or Qantas Frequent Flyers receive complimentary access to the lounge?
A. The Gold Coast Lounge is not associated with the Qantas Club & Frequent Flyer program. As such, there is no special consideration given to Qantas Club Members or Qantas Frequent Flyers. All Jetstar passengers, regardless of Qantas Club membership or Qantas Frequent Flyer status, are subject to the same commercial entry conditions and payments.
(From FAQ - Gold Coast Lounge - Travel Services - Travel Information - Jetstar Airways)

Nothing at all about Platinum FF.

Is this memory just wishful thinking on my part? Have WP never had free access?

Or has the policy recently changed?

Thanks Mal. Appreciate the expertise!

I wonder why the FAQ contradicts the terms & conditions?

Because the FAQ hasn’t been updated since the lounge was opened. It still talks about a special frequent visit pass "coming soon".

Has status changes here?? Can Gold FF access lounge?

Only by paying:

Lounge Terms & Conditions | Jetstar

1.9. Platinum Qantas Frequent Flyer members and Chairmans Lounge members may present a current membership card as a valid form of Gold Coast Lounge or Akarana Lounge entry pass for themselves and two guests travelling on a qualifying flight. Bronze, Silver and Gold Qantas Frequent Flyer members and Qantas Club members travelling in economy must purchase entry.

The lounge at OOL is not worth visiting. Dark, dingy and the furniture is straight out of Freedom. Makes Hobart's QP look like luxury.

Used DJ OOL lounge today instead of JQ (WP on QF and DJ). Very nice. Thoroughly impressed.

Yes they have a pancake machine, and the bar is open all day!
