I may be on a flight from IST-KUL which is marketed by TK and has a TK flight number.
However the metal is MH.
Is my QF SG likely to get me lounge access at IST ?

Cheers.
If not may have to try for a TK status match

Which FF# will you have on the booking?

My guess would be as its MH metal and MH boarding pass, if you were to put your QF FF# on the booking it should print Sapphire on the Boarding pass, even though its a TK flight number. However this is just a guess as some system complexities could mean this doesn't happen, also technically it must be a OW flight number as well as Operated, but you never know the checkin desk agent may just see Sapphire and give you a lounge invite.

Either way just keep your QF SG card on hand and see what happens!
Let us know what ends up happening/what you end up doing.

Oh yeh the rules say OW flight number as well as Operated don't they ? Hmmmm.
I can't imagine I will be allowed to put in my QF FF number on my booking when my booking is through a *A airline ?
They usually only have *A airline programmes in their dropdown menu ?

Do I need an actual lounge invite ? I can't just go to the lounge with my QF SG card and my MH boarding pass ?

No, that doesn't fit within the One World access rules.
Try for the status match. It does sometimes take a while to get approved though.
Good luck

Cheers Princess. I will put that status match application through this week. Flights aren't until June.

You can probably get MH check-in to add it, I don't think they can stop you putting in another airlines FF# whether it will actually do anything is another question but can't hurt to try otherwise you can always get them to change it back to a TK FF#.

Good luck!

If you can get the status match, the Turkish Airlines lounge is amazing!! I was on an MH J flight from IST to KUL and the lounge MH uses is very ordinary, not even toilets inside the lounge. Anyway our flight got cancelled due to technical difficulties so we got rerouted on TK via BKK.. and we had a 4 hour delay, we were then allowed into the TK lounge which was absolutely amazing!
But if you're only hoping to get into the MH lounge I wouldn't even bother.
