Hello everyone!

My partner and I are in some discomfort on our last day in Bali. We have contracted a nasty case of Bali Belly whilst spending our last night in Sanur, and this is depsite a great week of healthy living in Ubud. Not exactly sure what caused it, as we were being very careful with water intake the whole time. Anyway, we don't fly out until just after midnight tonight, and we were hoping to access the premier lounge at Denpensar Airport while we wait.

The showers and comfort would go a long way to helping us heal before the flight home. Does anyone know if it is possible to gain access at this short of notice? If so, how and how much? Any help is appreciated as always.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this post.

Sounds like an awful way to end your holidays!

There are a couple of Lounges that you can pay to get access... Check this out:

Good luck and keep yourself well hydrated with Hydralyte or other oral fluids for dehydration. Try to avoid gatorate if possible.. But at the end of the day, any fluid in is better than nothing.

The Premier Lounge does have showers. But not very good ones!

And the rest of it is a mediocre lounge experience at best. But there are drinks and food and comfortable chairs.

Asking at the entrance is probably the best bet at this late notice. I suspect they will allow entry for a price. I'd guess around USD 35.

I was there a few weeks ago and noticed there is some competition now. There are at least 3 lounges I seem to remember on the upper level, including one right beside the Premier Lounge! Another one is Garuda. So it could be worth asking them too.

I've had a shower at the Premier Lounge after arriving from SYD on QF and before my onward flight to SIN on JQ. The towels were tiny even though I was given 2 and I saw a coughroach crawling around in the bathroom... What an experience on Christmas night!

Keep selling it. What are the access requirements? I might be there in late April.

Premier Lounge @ DPS isn't one of my favourites either. I'm not sure if you can pay to access (we had access via VA status). The food selection is ok, the soft drink selection good, only one beer (Anker), one white wine, one red wine, vodka and gin I think from memory (the wine & spirits you have to ask at the bar for). Tried the wine, wasn't the best, so stuck with the spirits. On the way over (we were transiting), the aircon wasn't working in the lounge, so it was smoking hot. On the way back, it worked and was much better.

The WIFI is atrocious. Very hit and miss (actually definitely more miss). The showers were clean the time we were there, but just note, you can actually see body outlines when you're using the shower (there are 2 toilets and a shower in the ladies bathroom). I realised this early on, so dressed in the shower itself (it's hidden, but not much room to spread your stuff out). If I dressed in the area that you can leave your clothes etc, you would have been able to see (although blurred) what I was doing - and it ain't pretty!!!

If there are other paid lounges out there, definitely try them.

I've never been to Bali but if I ever do go it will be with a full bottle of activated charcoal!

Premier lounge @ DPS no longer allows paid entry.

I followed the advice on the Velocity website and thought I could enter with muy VA plat status, guest my mother in and pay for my son (or vv).
Sadly they said they had changed their rules and were totally inflexible (and not particularly polite) about it.
The lounge is cough anyway. Try the TG lounge next door, I think they allow paid entry.
