1. Amex Westpac Altitude Black bundle (Altitude Velocity) – 120,000 Velocity points + 75 status credits
Westpac is offering a generous 120,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer points and 75 Velocity status credits if you take out a new Altitude Black MasterCard & Amex bundle and opt-in to Altitude Velocity rewards. Altitude Velocity is a new rewards program for Westpac that costs $50 per year, and comes with two Virgin Australia Economy X upgrades and Virgin lounge passes each year. That’s enough points for a return Business class flight from Sydney or Melbourne to Hong Kong!
To receive the full bonus points, you would need to spend at least $4,000 on the MasterCard and $3,000 on the Amex card within 90 days of approval. To receive the full amount of bonus status credits, you would also need to spend an additional $6,000 on your MasterCard within the first year. This offer expires on 15 October 2019.
Right now, you can also earn 120,000 bonus Qantas points with this card by instead opting into Altitude Qantas rewards. But you won’t get any status credits with the Qantas offer.
2. Qantas Premier Platinum – 120,000 Qantas points
This great offer with the Qantas Premier Platinum card is still on until 31 October 2019! You can earn up to 120,000 bonus Qantas points by spending a minimum of $1,500 per month on your new card for the first six months. You’ll earn 20,000 points for each month that this target is met. This card normally has a $299 annual fee, but during this promotion it is being reduced to $199 for the first year.
Meanwhile, the Qantas Premier Titanium card is still offering an even higher bonus of 150,000 Qantas points until 28 August 2019, but this card has a much higher $1,200 annual fee.
3. ANZ Frequent Flyer Black – 100,000 Qantas points
ANZ Bank continues to offer 100,000 bonus Qantas Frequent Flyer points with its Frequent Flyer Black card. To receive the bonus sign-up points from this deal, you’d need to spend at least $4,000 on the card within 3 months. This card has a $425 annual fee, which is currently being reduced by $200 in the first year. No expiry date is listed for this offer.
Another ANZ offer available this month which might be of interest is 40,000 bonus Velocity points with the ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures card. This product has a $225 annual fee but comes with a complimentary return Virgin Australia flight and two airport lounge passes every year. This credit card also has no foreign transaction fees, making it one of Australia’s best credit cards for overseas purchases.
4. NAB Qantas Rewards Signature – 90,000 Qantas points
NAB is offering 90,000 Qantas points with the Qantas Rewards Signature Visa card. To receive the bonus points, you would need to spend $4,000 on the card within 60 days (note – not 90 days!) of opening. This card normally has a $395 annual fee, which is reduced to $295 in the first year. No expiry date is listed for this offer.
5. Virgin Money Velocity High Flyer – 90,000 Velocity points
You can earn 30,000 bonus Velocity points each month for 3 months by spending at least $3,000 per month on a new Virgin Australia Velocity High Flyer card from Virgin Money. This credit card has an annual fee of $289 and this offer expires on 31 August 2019.
Virgin Money’s $129/year Velocity Flyer card also currently has a similar offer for up to 75,000 Velocity points (25,000 per month) if you spend at least $1,500 per month for the first three months. That offer also expires at the end of this month (although Virgin Money has been known to extend its offers).
