You can now earn double Qantas Frequent Flyer points on all new Qantas and Emirates codeshare flight bookings made by midnight on Monday, 8 April 2019. The promotion covers flights taken between 11 April 2019 and 29 February 2020.
To participate in this offer, you’ll need to first register on the Qantas website.
Qantas marketed flights operated by either Qantas or Emirates are eligible to earn double Qantas points as part of this promotion. This means you’ll need to book a flight with a “QF” flight number; Emirates or Qantas flights with an “EK” flight number are ineligible.
Note that Emirates-operated flights will only earn double points as part of this offer if your Qantas Frequent Flyer account is registered in Australia or New Zealand. For some reason, you won’t earn extra Qantas points for Emirates-operated flights if the address listed on your account is outside of Australia or New Zealand.
The bonus points could take up to 6 weeks after travel to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. Double Qantas points are awarded based on the base earning rate, and don’t take any status bonus points into account.
This promotion is perhaps not as interesting as February’s double Qantas status credits offer. But if you’re planning to book a Qantas or Emirates flight now anyway, it’s better than nothing!
Virgin Australia recently ran a triple Velocity points offer that just ended earlier this week.
