With Velocity Frequent Flyer’s new double status credits offer, you could supercharge your Velocity status credits by flying with Virgin Australia until the end of this year!
From today until next Monday, 30 October 2023, you can earn double status credits on any new Virgin Australia flights that you book for travel until 31 December 2023.
To take advantage of this deal, you’d first need to register for the offer on the Velocity Frequent Flyer website or in the Velocity App. Then, when booking your flights, make sure you include your Velocity number on the booking.
All Virgin Australia operated and marketed flights that usually earn status credits are eligible for this offer. This includes domestic and international short-haul flights to destinations such as Bali, Tokyo, Queenstown, Nadi and Apia.
Flights on partner airlines, including VA codeshare flights operated by other airlines, are not eligible to earn status credits. (There is an exception for Australian domestic flights operated by regional partners such as Link Airways and Alliance Airlines when booked as a VA flight number.)
This is the third Double Status Credits promotion that Velocity Frequent Flyer has run this year. The previous ones were announced in January and July 2023.

How to maximise this offer
The quickest and most affordable method to earn lots of Velocity status credits is by booking Virgin Australia Business Class airfares – particularly on routes where connecting flights are offered. For example, when booking far enough in advance, you could fly from Canberra to Launceston via Melbourne for under $1,000 return in Business. This trip would earn 440 status credits when booking with Double Status Credits.
