Singaporean low-cost carrier Scoot has launched an epic mid-year sale, with discounted flights available in both Economy and ScootPlus to Asia and Europe.

Destinations on sale include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Bali, with flights available from Melbourne to Bali for under $400 return. Scoot flights to Athens are also on sale, with Economy Class available from Melbourne to Athens for $395 one-way and ScootPlus to Athens starting at just $820. ScootPlus is similar to Premium Economy on other airlines.

Scoot flies from Perth, Melbourne and Sydney to Singapore, with onward connections available to many destinations across Asia as well as Athens. Sale fares are available from each of these cities.

If flying beyond Singapore, note that some itineraries have long layovers at Changi Airport. (This could, however, be a great opportunity to break up your trip or even participate in a free Singapore city tour!)

You can earn Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles on Scoot flights.

Looking for a last-minute cheap flight to Europe? At the time of writing, there’s even limited availability of these cheap airfares from Melbourne or Sydney to Athens for travel at the end of this month!

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find many Scoot sale fares available from Athens back to Australia at the same price. But we did see return flights available under $1,500 in ScootPlus. Alternatively, you could perhaps use frequent flyer points to fly home.

Economy fares start from $395 one-way from Melbourne to Athens, $399 from Perth to Athens or $405 from Sydney to Athens.

As an alternative to flying Scoot, Jetstar also currently has some good deals from Melbourne to Singapore at the moment, including in Business Class. Like Scoot, Jetstar Business Class is more closely aligned to Premium Economy on full-service airlines – although Jetstar provides better meals and amenities in its Business cabin.

For example, you could fly Jetstar Business from Melbourne to Singapore from just $1,212 return. Business Max fares, which include lounge access as well as Qantas points and status credits, are available from $1,652 return.
