Stoneleigh Wines is currently running a unique promotion. By purchasing 6 bottles of wine, you’ll receive a free return flight!
To claim the complimentary flights, you’ll need to purchase any six bottles of wine from the list on the winemaker’s website. Some of these wines cost less than $15 per bottle. You’ll then need to complete the form on the Stoneleigh website, and send your receipt along with a booking request form in the mail. This must all be completed within 14 days of purchasing the wine.
You’ll need to nominate 3 destinations that you would like to travel to, as well as multiple travel dates in different months. All travel must be completed by 30 November 2018. The available destinations will depend on your departure point. But there is an interesting mix available from most cities, including cities in New Zealand. Here is the list of destinations to choose from on the Stoneleigh website:
There are a few catches with this latest wine deal. You’ll be offered return flights to only one of your 3 chosen destinations, and for only one of the nominated travel periods. You won’t get to choose the routing, airline or flight times. In addition, it is not possible to combine vouchers. Requests are for one passenger only, and you will need to pay full price for any additional passengers you wish to add to the booking. So this deal would work best for solo travellers.
In a way, this promotion is like booking a “mystery flight”. But you’ll also get 6 bottles of wine.
Another way to turn wine into free flights is to take advantage of bonus points from Qantas epiQure. Up to 10,000 bonus Qantas points are regularly offered on cases of wine from Qantas epiQure. This is enough for a one-way flight from Sydney to Melbourne or a Business class upgrade on the same flight.
The Stoneleigh promotion ends on 22 March 2018 and is limited to 5,000 free flights. At the time of writing, over 1,000 flights had already been claimed. Participants must be at least 18 years old.
