Free Qantas Lounge Pass for 18-35 Year-olds

Free Qantas Lounge Pass for 18-35'sQantas is giving away free Business Lounge passes to 18-35 year-olds who book an international Qantas flight in Economy class. This promotion is running until 31 August 2019 and is valid for international Qantas flights departing any time until 29 February 2020.

If you’re aged between 18 and 35 years old and you’d like to take advantage of this offer, you’ll first need to register on the Qantas website.

This offer is valid when booking any Qantas-operated international flight departing from Australia with a “QF” flight number. Flights to all Qantas international destinations are eligible including New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and the United States. Flights operated by partner airlines such as Emirates are not eligible, even if you’ve booked with Qantas.

At the time of booking, you’ll need to enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer number with the booking. Qantas will then email you instructions on how to link the complimentary Qantas Business Lounge pass to your flight online. To take advantage of this offer, you must book your international flight at least 7 days prior to departure.

There is a limit of one complimentary lounge pass per person. The free Qantas lounge pass for 18-35 year olds can be used at any Qantas International Business Lounge in Australia. But it does not grant access to domestic Qantas Club or international First Class lounges, nor to Qantas lounges outside of Australia. This means that if you’re booking a return Economy flight, you won’t receive free lounge access on the way home as well.

To use the lounge ahead of your return flight, you could use a Priority Pass lounge or simply purchase a Qantas Club membership. If you do, make sure you take advantage of a great Qantas Club discount.

If you’re considering using this offer and have a choice of Australian airports to fly out of, our pick would be Brisbane. The Qantas international Business Lounge in Brisbane is currently the nicest in Australia.

This promotion is quite different from offers we’ve seen in the past from Qantas… or any airline. It seems that Qantas wants 18-35 year-olds to experience their lounges in the hope it might foster long-term loyalty to the airline.
