Emirates
Lounge Off Limits |
One
of the well-publicised benefits of Qantas'
partnership with Emirates is reciprocal
access to both airlines' airport lounges.
Qantas frequent flyers are allowed to use
the Emirates lounge when flying Qantas or
Emirates, and vice versa. But Qantas flyers
have reported being turned away from
Emirates lounges.
A Platinum Qantas flyer recently tried to
access the Emirates lounge in Auckland ahead
of a Qantas flight to Melbourne. This member
was abruptly refused entry.

The
Best Cards for Overseas
Travel |
Thanks
to credit cards and an
ever-increasing range of
travel money cards, it's now
easier than ever to access
your money overseas. But
many of these products -
including the majority of
travel money cards - do not
represent good value. Poor
exchange rates, oversees
transaction charges and
hidden fees can add up to
hundreds of dollars per
trip. So, how can you
minimise these fees and more...

Qatar
Flights Disrupted |
Visitors
to Qatar and passengers
flying with oneworld member
Qatar Airways are likely to
face disruption after
several neighbouring

ties with the small Arabian
Peninsula nation. Direct
flights between Qatar and
affected countries are no
longer allowed. Qatar
Airways aircraft are also
being forced to take longer,
circuitous routings as they
are now banned from flying
through much of the airspace

Exclusive
Online Event:
Best Credit Cards for Frequent Flyers |
On 1
July, the RBA's new interchange fee
regulations will take effect. These changes
have led to banks slashing credit card
points left, right and centre. Lower earning
rates, restrictive point caps and an
ever-shrinking range of credit cards that
award points for tax payments are making it
much more difficult to maximise your credit
card points haul.
Credit cards have long been a hugely popular
way to earn frequent flyer points on
everyday expenses. The game may be changing,
but there is still plenty of value
in the Australian credit card market
if you know where to look!
Frequent Flyer Solutions will hold its next
live online webinar next Thursday,
29 June at 8pm (AEST)
to explain how you can still maximise your
frequent flyer points in Australia's
ever-changing credit card environment.

Qantas
to Beijing: Second-Rate
Product? |
Qantas
launched direct flights from
Sydney to Beijing earlier
this year in an attempt to
increase the airline's
presence in the ever growing
Chinese market. Greater
choice and competition is
good for travellers... but
unfortunately for Qantas
flyers to Beijing, Qantas
has allocated some of its
most outdated aircraft to more...
