It’s possible to transfer CommBank Awards points earned in Australia to the “airasia rewards” loyalty program (formerly AirAsia BIG Loyalty).
If you’re flying with AirAsia regularly, it can certainly make sense to collect airasia rewards points. But, in general, it doesn’t really make sense for Australians to transfer valuable credit card reward points to this frequent flyer program. Instead, our advice is to save your points for a redemption on another airline via another frequent flyer program, where you may get better value.
You can redeem airasia rewards points for AirAsia flights, as well as hotels, tours, car rentals and more. See the AirAsia website for more information.
As AirAsia is a low-cost carrier, most flights are relatively cheap to begin with. It’s therefore rare to get a huge amount of value from airasia rewards points.
