Qantas has launched a special offer of double or triple points on Qantas flights exclusively for Points Club and Points Club Plus members who register using the link in the email sent to them.

Members of Qantas’ Points Club tier, which is achieved by earning at least 150,000 points per year, can receive double points on new Qantas flights booked between 8-13 March 2023. This offer applies for travel dates until 28 February 2024.

Points Club Plus members have received a superior offer of triple points on Qantas flights booked and flown by the same dates. Current Points Club members who upgrade to Points Club Plus by 13 March 2023 are also eligible to earn triple points.

Both domestic and international flights are eligible for this offer, but they must be marketed and operated by Qantas (or QantasLink). The bonus points are earned on the base rate of points or the Minimum Points Guarantee if applicable, but not on any status bonus points.

This offer coincides with the San Francisco Red Tail Sale that launched today. This sale covers flights from Australia to San Francisco, with Qantas finally relaunching direct Sydney-San Francisco flights on 22 May 2023.

This is not the first time Qantas has run a bonus points promotion exclusively for Points Club members. The last time was in September 2022.

Benefits of Qantas Points Club membership

Launched in March 2020, Qantas Points Club offers additional benefits to Qantas Frequent Flyer members who earn at least 150,000 points per year, with at least 130,000 points earned from non-flying activities.

Benefits include the ability to earn status credits on Qantas-marketed Classic Flight Rewards, bonus points on Qantas Hotels bookings and complimentary Qantas Wine Premium membership. See our Qantas Points Club guide for a full list of benefits and details.

One of the other benefits of Points Club is “exclusive flying offers throughout the year”. This is one example of these kinds of offers.

In the past, Points Club members have also been given exclusive access to double status credits offers.

Is a Double Status Credits offer coming?

While this double or triple points offer will appeal to some people, many AFF members have been hanging out for a double status credits offer.

While nobody has a crystal ball, based on past trends, there is a reasonable chance that a double status credits offer could be just a few weeks away.

Australian Frequent Flyer understands that the next double status credits offer is likely to be open to all Qantas Frequent Flyer members who register for the offer – and not just restricted to Points Club members.
