Qantas is making every seat on 21 domestic routes available to book as a Classic Flight Reward, for travel across six weeks in January and February 2023. This includes Business Class seats.
For the next three days, you can book any available Qantas seat on selected Australian domestic routes to coastal destinations using Qantas points, with flights priced at the Classic Flight Reward level. Destinations offered include Broome, Hamilton Island, Ballina/Byron Bay, Townsville, Merimbula, Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island.
The Points Planes are available for travel between 9-22 January and the entire month of February 2023. Bookings will open up at 11am (AEDT) today, and be available until 11am (AEDT) on Friday, 2 December 2022, for travel on the following routes:
With every seat available to book on points on almost 3,000 flights during this promotion, Qantas says this is its biggest Points Plane release so far.
“Whenever we release Points Planes, we see huge demand from our frequent flyers and they often sell out. These flights are to some of Australia’s best summer destinations during peak travel months, so our advice is to book as soon as possible,” Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth said.
“We also want to continue to encourage frequent flyers to visit the many world-class destinations in their own backyard, which is fantastic for local businesses and regional tourism.”
Classic Flight Reward seats are available on Qantas domestic flights from 8,000 points one-way in Economy or 18,400 points each way in Business Class. For example, it would cost 18,400 Qantas points + $57 in taxes & carrier charges to fly Brisbane-Hamilton Island in Business Class.
The latest Points Plane promotion comes a week after Qantas suddenly released a large batch of Business Class reward seats to many long-haul destinations including London. Most of those have already sold out.
