Singapore Airlines is giving 25% bonus miles if you transfer Star Alliance Rewards points to KrisFlyer between 20 September and 31 October 2024.

There’s no maximum to the number of points you can transfer during this promotion. According to the T&Cs, Singapore Airlines will award the bonus KrisFlyer miles within four weeks after 31 October.

What is Star Alliance Rewards?

Star Alliance Rewards is the reward program of the HSBC Star Alliance credit card. With this card, you can earn 1 Star Alliance Point per $1 spent up to $3,000 per month, or 0.5 points per $1 thereafter. You can then transfer those points to your choice of seven Star Alliance airline loyalty programs any time you like.

Shortcut to Star Alliance Gold status

The HSBC Star Alliance credit card, which is only available in Australia, is popular because it unlocks a huge shortcut to Star Alliance Gold status. This comes with benefits like lounge access, priority check-in, boarding & baggage, extra baggage allowance and more whenever you fly with any Star Alliance carrier.

By simply applying for the card, and spending at least $4,000 within 90 days, you’ll get to enjoy a year’s worth of Star Alliance Gold status with your choice of participating airlines. Some of these airlines even give you reciprocal benefits when flying with Virgin Australia as well.
