It seems like just about every store has its own loyalty program these days. Many of those loyalty programs offer compelling rewards, but all of those different loyalty cards can take up a lot of space in your wallet!

There are already Apps like Apple Wallet (for iOS) and Google Pay (for Android) which allow you to store your credit cards, tickets, boarding passes and some membership cards electronically. These digital wallets can be a great help.

There’s also a free smartphone app that’s specifically designed to store loyalty cards.

The Stocard App can help you to de-clutter your wallet while still giving you access to all of your loyalty cards on your electronic device wherever you go. You won’t need plastic cards any more!

You can easily store major Australian loyalty cards such as your Qantas Frequent Flyer, Everyday Rewards and Flybuys cards electronically. The App also supports the loyalty programs of hundreds of other Australian businesses including Dan Murphy’s, IKEA, TerryWhite Chemmart, Priceline, Crown, Event Cinemas, Shell, Foodworks, Red Rooster, Subway and Gloria Jean’s.

Although Stocard launched in Australia in 2017, it was originally founded in Germany in 2011 and now has more than 50 million users worldwide! It supports loyalty programs in more than 40 countries including the US, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Brazil, South Korea, China, Singapore, UK and most of Europe.

To store loyalty cards from multiple countries, simply opt-in to additional regions in the App’s settings menu.

How the Stocard App works

It couldn’t be easier! Simply download the free Stocard App from the iPhone App Store or Android’s Google Play store, then scan the barcode on your physical loyalty card for each program you wish to add.

Your loyalty card will be instantly added to the Stocard App. You can also manually add cards.

Then, to scan your loyalty card at the checkout, simply open up the app, select the card and scan the digital barcode. Stocard also works with Apple Watch and all WearOS watches.

You can choose to optionally enable Card Assistant, which prompts you to use your loyalty card when near relevant stores. You’ll then be able to access your loyalty cards directly from your phone’s lock screen.

You can also use the Stocard app for storing cards to view catalogues and special offers from stores that you’re interested, or even buy discounted gift cards. Using the “Gift Cards” menu, you can view offers from a range of retailers offering discounts. Some retailers even allow customers to activate coupons within the app.

I downloaded CardStar (iOS) 10 years ago. Similar concept but probably much less coverage but it was handy to manually add cards I use once in a blue moon.

Fortunately a lot of the loyalty programs are now including your card in their app or in the virtual wallet but they can be a PITA if you’re to use only to realise you’ve been logged out…

I’ll give this one a go.

Samsung Pay basically lets you store any loyalty card...just scan the bar code at the back of your loyalty card...you can even take a photo of said card so it looks nicer in your digital wallet ...find it great to manipulate my Flybuy / Woolworths cards usage depending which one has the best deal. 😉

been using it for sometime and it works with everything except Myer One. Scanning Stocard at Myer doesn’t trigger points, so have to remind MrJones to use the MyerOne app for that.
Everything else goes in Stocard - I got a smaller purse when that came along.

Stocard has too much ad, too much white space wasting screen real estate. I moved away 5+ years ago.

I now use mobile-pocket which is much cleaner.

Bumping an old thread because Stocard is closing.

Looking for suggestions of what others use.

I’ve looked at mobile-pocket as suggested by @Chicken but it doesn’t appear to generate bar codes which are useful at some physical retailers.

Also looked at Supercards but it doesn’t have a field for “notes” while I find useful for adding card details of other family members.

I also looked at one called Barcodes but it requires a subscription.

Suggestions please.

When you go to Woolies for example… does that app give you a bar code to scan at the register?

Not sure if you are using Apple iOS but within the wallet function where is the card doesn't have a bar code 'Woolworths Every Day Rewards', click the 3 dots in the top right hand corner click 'pass details' and the barcode should appear but might not be the case for all apps

Also the EDR card works with a tap on the eftpos machine

Yes, and you can see that I have 2 Woolworths accounts, because of the whole gift card exercise.

What I do with Mobile Pocket, is to open the membership barcode on Woolworths or Flybuys web site, then open Mobile Pocket, add card, Mobile Pocket take a photo of my computer scren, then replicate the barcode.

When I am in Woolworths, I poke the Woolworths card as shown in the above screenshot, and it would display the Woolworths barcode, and I would then let the cash register scan my phone
