Qantas Frequent Flyer is giving triple points on all flight, hotel, holiday and Avis car rental bookings made from 22-31 July 2021 (previously until 27 July). This “Christmas in July” deal covers travel dates from 28 July 2021 until 30 June 2022 (or 30 July 2022, in the case of car hire bookings).
With this deal you could earn:
- Triple points on Australian domestic & trans-Tasman Qantas-operated flights with a “QF” flight number
- 9 points per $1 spent on hotels in Australia & New Zealand with Qantas Hotels (excludes Airbnb & Classic Hotel Rewards)
- 12 points per $1 spent on Avis car hire bookings
- 9 points per $1 spent with Qantas Holidays when booking a flight & hotel package
With Qantas flights, the minimum points guarantee is taken into account in the awarding of triple points. So, you would earn at least 2,400 Qantas points per flight taken with this offer. But bonus points are not earned on tier or status bonuses.
To take advantage of this offer, you will need to register on the Qantas website before booking. You can also view the full offer terms & conditions on the Qantas website.
“It’s a really challenging time for many Australians as we navigate these latest outbreaks, but we know planning holidays and family reunions brings a lot of excitement and gives people something to look forward to. With the vaccine rollout ramping up and flexibility on all of our fares, there’s no better time to book your next trip,” Qantas Chief Customer Officer Stephanie Tully said.
“This is one of our biggest-ever offers and we hope it will inspire travellers to start planning their next holiday to reconnect with loved ones around Australia and across the Tasman,” Tully added.
Qantas has also recently extended its Fly Flexible offer, meaning fee-free date changes and the ability to cancel for a flight credit remain possible until at least 28 February 2022. (Previously, this only covered bookings made until 31 July 2021.)
This is a good deal if you’ll be booking travel over the next few days – particularly if you prefer to collect Qantas points over status credits. But with half of the country now in lockdown, the trans-Tasman bubble suspended and many state border restrictions as tight as ever, some AFF members have questioned the timing…
honestly QF.. who are they kidding? no thank you.
I guess the great general public MAY be enticed by [Triple Points] but reality is right now, with such a short booking window the biggest problem QF has is there is almost zero certainty about borders and all.

Great idea QF to offer this while half the country is in lockdown. Well done!

Hotel bookings will be a nice earner once borders reopen, though QF hotels cancellation policy is not as generous as some of the big players so I wouldn’t book anything until last minute.
