I take it the offer has now closed. Anyone know of any other good offers for wine fridges that are on at the moment.

Hi All
How often does Vintec do these wine fridge offers?
cheers

It has been available at least once a year for the last couple of years.

I made a purchase in 2014 (small fridge - later sold for the same price I purchased it) and 2015 (big fridge), but not the 2016 offering.

I remember seeing some vintec deal at costco last year (before I got into wine), would that be the same promo?

There were a number of offers by Dan's, Langtons and Penfolds last year - although I can't recall if Costco offered it as well.
Here's the old links to the promos they had - which expired in September.

Dan's : https://www.danmurphys.com.au/list/composite/vintec
Langtons: https://www.langtons.com.au/lp/vintec

The Promo was run by TWE, so you could buy your wine from almost anywhere. Certainly some of the major retailers had complimentary promotions running at the same time. Here's the TWE website, and their list of "participating retailers" https://serve-and-cellar.wineestatespromos.com/participatingretailers.aspx. Edit: seems like the Coles group outlets were not included (Liquorland/1st Choice) - I never noticed that before.

Awesome thanks
i'll keep an eye out for the next promo
Just setup and filled a WKB4612 (out of pocket about $700 after amex/ato points spend) and wife has given permission for one if its cheap and minimal out of pocket expense. She was sick of my boxes of wines everywhere :D

Anyone have any experience with the 182 bottle Vintec or other large fridge? I'd like to take mine out of managed storage, as I pay about $65 a month.

I have a couple of larger fridges. I like the fact I don’t need to plan ahead when it comes to selecting bottles and grabbing them from storage. It is however, significantly higher in upfront costs to have fridges and the ongoing costs mean that off-site storage is the more affordable option.

Do you think that this provides good value?
if you're happy buying those wines I think it's a good deal. At $20 per bottle you're getting the vintec for about $300 which is good going.

Better still with wish cards and CR (not sure you'd get the 8% on this though)

Nope. The regular deal they have around the middle of the year is much better value.
it depends on your view of these wines included in this deal.

In the other deal the fridge costs $450 but you get to spend $350 on wines of your choosing (within the TWE range).

If you think these wines are worth $438 ($15 pb) then it's at least as good a deal.

Disagree.

In the 3 months following the mid year offers that have been made for at least the last 3 years, gumtree and ebay have been flooded with a lot of unwanted vintec fridges which were going for well under $300 for the small fridge.

I'd continue to recommend waiting for the mid year offering.

fair point, I hadn't thought about the secondary markets for the fridge.

Not much use for us regional folks unless you get very lucky though.

I'm on my Langton's broker list for being advised of when the offer hits, but will subscribe to here just in case there's an earlier offer. My 2 DOME wine fridges have died (well, they were ~ 8 years old IIRC). I need to invest in quality fridge now.

My small fridge is no longer sufficient and I need to acquire a larger model. I've been looking at the V155SGES3 or the V150SG2E. Can anyone recall last year's deal for the larger fridge? i.e. which model, how much and what was the qualifying wine spend?

TIA.

Just read the first post again and found the details!!

Nothing to see here....
