I am soon going to bw flying Oman Air in J for two legs BKK-MCT-FRA, as well as a segment on TG with an Oman Air (WY) sector SYD-BKK. Whilst I have signed up for Sindband membership I note that WY are not joining One World until later this year or early 2024.

I thought that Air Canada had listed Oman Air as a partner airline. Is this stille the case and If I was to join Aeroplan do I need to do a certain number of flights on Air Canada each year to retain status?

Thanks for any help/advice.

Cheers

Welcome to AFF @MarqueOne . As Oman Air are not part of Star Alliance, I don't think any of their flights will accrue status on Air Canada. 'Partner' status usually just accrues miles. However I see in various forums that even the Air Canada partner status is a bit hazy at the moment.

Check out the partners and you may be able to shift them across to one of them?? Air Canada not listed as a partner here:

You might want to calculate how many miles you’d get with Aéroplan and with Etihad Guest and see which one would make more sense to credit to.

Aeroplan has many partners / Etihad Guest has great availability on Virgin Australia services.
