I’ve just arrived back in Australia and staying at Rydges at the Sydney Airport and they are really peeing me off. I’m paying nearly $300 a night and I have to check myself in.

Anyway, just reading this thread has made me feel a lot calmer

Congratulations looking forward to the rest of the photos and that day when you can say yeah I think we’re done

Question for the ladies about moving.

While I getting boxes, unpacking boxes, breaking down boxes, putting things away, thinking about where things are, where things should be go.... does your husband walk around, fixing WiFi, testing ceiling fans, running speed then tests and stops you from working to tell you these things for a pat on them back?

I told Mr Denali that unless he is bringing me a box, don't talk me 🤣

I think I've always unpacked - ALONE. One time I even moved houses, just before Covid, while he was in Melbourne. He came back a day later and everything was done.

I like thank the people on YouTube who create now to videos. Just put the new Dyson standing dock together with it's assistance and it's in the broom closet. Never had a broom closet before.

I swear Mr Dyson over engineers his toys or you're so afraid of putting too much pressure on something so it doesn't snap but you're suppose to put pressure on it

I had the power point on installed higher as I thought I would have to screw the holder into the wall, like my office Dyson, but I got a deal with stand

Movers were here for 4hrs. Fantastic two guys, their baltic dad, who left them in charge for a month, would be pleased.

Our refurbished bedframe is back! But the mattress is so high, I'm reliving my childhood gymnastics in having to vault to get on the bed 🤣.

Oh and for a year I stressed about the size of our bedroom, is it big enough.... I use to measure our hotel rooms too compare... Our bedroom is huge 🤣

Apologies if already covered in the thread @Denali but is that a superfirm mattress and -if so - where did you purchase?

We bought our mattress from this firm
Now AH the third was a patient of mine and I know the sons who took over so a good price. more importantly great mattress. Ours is coming up to 25 years old and still excellent.
Plus an Australian company. Also an ethical company as one of the few who returned all their job keeper funds when their business actually improved during covid. Who knew there would be a shortage of hospital beds.

OMF, Original Mattress Factory. Was very surprised and pleased with the staff and mattress. Very comfortable, no hard sell and not feeling any pressure on my hips (I'm a side sleeper). First time time buying from them

The life of your mattress is interesting. I understood that mattresses should be replaced every 10 years at the max.

Great story too

Movers did their bit and I hated the refurbished bookshelves so much I put them on FB marketplace for free and picked up within 30mins 🤣

While talking to the person who was helping the lady who wanted them, sounds like shes had a rough go of it lately and was moving because of home issue. I then offered the coffee table we decided didnt suit the room and I told Mr Denali they were going to come back after dropping off the book cases for the table and he found a 42" tv for her as well. So good deed done

In the meantime, the Germans over engineering again with our Bosch washer so had to use youtube/the internet and got them working

Mr Denali also now has the fridge making ice cubes
