First class Skyward seat availability?

I'm doodling round the Emirates site for the first time in anticipation of booking flights for Sept - Oct 2024 (!). Looking at Sydney - Brussels, then Cairo-Sydney, I'd like to spoil ourselves by going first class at least on the final leg home from Cairo. Looking ahead to Feb next year and no first class award seats available. I'm not familiar with Emirates...is this usual? Any tips please. I plan on transferring Amex points. TIA
