Hello all,

Will be spending the Australia Day long weekend in Darwin and was hoping to get some recs for good restaurants in the Esplanade and wharf area. Am open to any cuisine.

Many thanks

My favourite weekday casual lunch in Darwin is a laksa from the Rendezvous Cafe in the Star Arcade in the mall. They should also be open for lunch on Saturdays.

IMO Best. Laksa. Ever. My favourite is the bbq pork with chicken version. Also get a side of fresh prawn toasts.

If you are seeking variety, Seafood on Cullen does an excellent all you can eat buffet https://m.facebook.com/seafoodoncullen

The yacht club or trailer boat club are ok. Check their websites for opening restaurant times though.

I wasn't overly fussed with the Asian offerings at Stokes wharf over Christmas. However a mate had 2 helpings of the slow cooked sticky pork rib and raved about it.
