iPhone 15 issues with Qantas F F app May 14 2024

For the last week my wife and I (with separate QFF accounts) have had the same issue. I can enter the app and look at hotels, car rental etc., HOWEVER on trying to view available flights after entering detail and pressing "search" the APP goes to the FLIGHTS window and just keeps on trying to load and nothing else happens.

I tried this on my DESKTOP (Windows) and backup Samsung Tablet and they are FINE. no issues.

I rang Qantas and was told its a booking issue and diverted to Bookings. I explained again and said I realise this is NOT a booking issue but an app issue so they after a long winded explanation of I do not know what diverted me back to what they said was the Frequent Flyer division. And ..... same thing happened, diverted to Bookings, and then diverted back again... this happened for 7 rounds and after about 45 minutes.... I was answered by a well spoken English voice man who asked who I had spoken to before I only remembered 1 name as I had spoken with her twice. He said hold on and then I was disconnected.

I wrote to QANTAS and the reply showed the reader had NOT read the original complaint as he again said to dial a certain number(the original number I had called) and make my booking that way.. so obviously no help.

Has anyone had this issue? It does seem to be IOS/iPhone based. But HOW does one speak/reach the department who can deal with APP issues?

Speaking generally, your problem with getting bounced around various phone people not being helped and being disconnected is unfortunately not uncommon with Qantas.

Same with receiving just generic answers to any complaints or written queries.

I’m far from expert, but you might try try deleting the app and reinstalling it

As above, try deleting (uninstalling) the QF app. Reboot the phone and then reinstall the app.

Also, does Qantas.com load and work correctly just using Safari? You might want to think about clearing cookies etc.

Understand and have done that twice to no effect thanks for trying to assist though.

Hi. Same QF app version iOS 15 as of today and have same issue thanks for the advice though.
 
I've just tried on my iPhone 15 PM and can successfully go through to qantas.com after selecting flights from the app. Enter from/to and dates and through successfully. Is your default browser Safari or Chrome in your phone? Mine is Safari.

Tried calling and they just tried to book it over the phone for me but over the phone bookings is a extra $75.

I rather book in myself. The lady didn’t help at all unfortunately.

Yes I have this exact issue !!!!! Exactly as you describe it !!!! Qantas is of no help !!! My entire family have same issue . It’s not just me . I can do everything in my app but as soon as I push search flights it just searches and never flights actually appear ! It has been like this for 3 weeks ! Any updates for you ?

Mine is same issue exactly as you describe and I have done same thing update deletes re instal . Called Qantas they requested screen shot . Sent in. Meanwhile I can’t book a damn thing!!!! Surely Qantas can see it’s an app issue not our phone issue ? I’m about to reboot an old phone in the draw to see if same issue . Will keep you posted. Any updates from anyone ??

Have you tried manually force-closing all other apps on the phone?

Hi thanks for reaching out - when you say force close all other apps do you just mean ensure I am in no other app at the same time ? Or what do you mean by forcefully closing all apps? Thankyou for your suggestion I’m really not IT educated .
this seems to be an issue only in the last 3 weeks and it’s an issue for myself my husband and my daughter

Ok yes I did that last week when the apple guy in store suggested it . I then even just deleted my app and re purchase from store and still same problem . It’s not just my phone . I’m reading on here other people have same issue . I think Qantas have a glitch in app since the cyber security matter . I’m appreciative of your suggestions Thankyou .
 
A note that MPC is for returning ESTA holders.. so if a first time visitor(or first time with new passport) it prob won't work.

I don't know about LAX currently but my last year or so worth of entries at DFW have mot required a paper customs declaration (which felt weird every time lol)
