And somebody would have posted it in public and it would have closed five minutes later.

Just like the KFC app add-on hacks posted on OzBargain and Whirlpool - they're closed off / patched up within a few days. There is still one hack though which I still use / works.

On topic though - today will be my final day on Points Club - I'm 29k short of retaining PC.

I'll lose my 96 SC as well (which I earnt being on PC from rewards flights too).

The joys of being a non-frequent flyer!
 
How long would I normally have to wait for the Points Club bonus points related to Qantas Hotel stays to be credited to my account?

I recently returned from a month away and bonus have only posted for one of the half dozen hotel stays. I would have thought that the PC 25% should post at the same time as the base points for the hotel stay?

My bonuses have always posted at the same time as the base points.

Looking at my history all PC bonus points for QF Hotel bookings have posted on the same day as the base points.

Were you PC when the bookings were made? Worth following up.

Thanks, I hadn't considered that it may be due to my PC status at the time of booking.

I don't know that I was when I made those bookings. The one that did post a bonus was made quite late before the trip when I was certainly in PC, the others were booked during one of the hotel points earn promotions around the time I first qualified (would've been March I think).

Will follow up and see if I can get a result.
 
I am finding lately that I am having to chase my PC+ bonus on Hotel bookings, each time they say it will take 8 weeks for PC bonus to arrive when I talk to someone on the phone, when I send an email, it usually only takes a couple of days for them to realize the mistake and have the points added to my account, this also gives me a reference number so I can follow up.
Had 1 incident where they acknowledged the extra points and said they would be in my account within 24 hours, 72 hours later still not in, another follow up, for them to apologize they had a glitch and that points would be awarded that day.
All I can say, is that I take screen shots now of all my bookings, keep in a folder on the desktop and delete once all points from hotel bookings have hit my account. It's a pain, but the only way I can make sure that I am getting my bonusses.

Priority phone service when you call the Frequent Flyer Service Centre++

The priority phone service doesn't apply when calling reservations, only the Frequent Flyer Service Centre.

Just called 131131 yesterday trying to resolve an issue that reward flight run by partner airlines went missing in my booking. Took at least 45 mins to have someone answer my call.

@kokoikaka Hotel bookings for me always come in exactly 1 month after the stay.
The last 2 bookings that I have had to chase came in like this:

booking 24 Aug - CKS Sydney airport
normal points in acct 24 Sept
bonus points 27 October - after about 3 emails.

booking 26 Aug - Rydges Auckland
normal points in acct 26 Sept
bonus points 7 November - after chasing.

That particular issue requires you to speak to reservations, which is different to the Frequent Flyer Service Centre and not covered by this.

Came in a few months ago. Mentioned up thread along with a barrage of complaints about eating away at WP benefits etc. 😉
 
Not a huge discrepancy but right now my ground points activity as shown in my activity summary is approx. 2k higher than that recorded in my points club progress; and before anyone asks no its not due to exceeding 20k in points from flying as those points match exactly.

I am trying to work out if any other points earn is excluded? Or if there is a lag in some activity form 30th Nov and 1st Dec lagging in the Point Club tracker?

Priority I assume means less wait time but do they put you through to Hobart or one of the useless outsourced centres?
