Hi , I am a new member.
Am looking to get to europe in june and heard an announcement that Qatar will fly direct out of sydney with great deals on Bus class as they did when they began in melb.
Any ideas as to when they will commence as website visits and enrolling in their privelages program as suggested buy their staff has still not given me any clues.??
Any hints or advice would be appreciated
thanks :?:

Qatar were intending on flying to Sydney soon after the Melbourne launch but now have said they will not be flying "in the near future".

Qatar Airways’ rapid expansion continues - Business Traveller

Melbourne's an easy airport to transit through though (unlike SYD! :))
Qatar are expanding quite quickly. Last week I was talking with a friend who flies B777s for Qatar and they are getting a new B777 every month at the moment and expanding the route structure as quickly as possible but SYD is on the back burner at the moment.

thanks for the advice
Better get off my butt and start looking at otehr airlines
cheers
