Thailand and Malaysia via Singapore

Apologies for hijacking this thread but seems appropriate.

Wife and daughter flying SYD-SIN-HKT on QF and 3K on one ticket in 3 weeks. Do we need to apply to transit SIN? They're not going out of airport and its only a 4 hour transit.
Nothing required to transit SIN @JohnK (provided they meet all the current VTL requirements, naturally). I came back HKT-SIN-SYD last November with no hassles.
