We recently received some flight credits from United to the value of $400USD approx. This was due to a flight change we had to make that resulted in us getting the same class fare but at a cheaper cost.

However, we incorrectly thought that we could use these flight credits on a VA flight domestically here in Australia, however, even though you can pick the routes on the United website the flights come up as 'not available'.

Has anybody here had experience of using United flight credits and did you manage to use them on a domestic flights here in Australia.

If so how did you go about it. I did ring United customer service and she said that at least one of the flights had to be on United metal even though it doesn't mention that in the terms and conditions. I says that you can use partner airlines as well as United.

TIA:)
