QF ADL/BNE/MEL/SYD to BKK $600 return

Pretty cheap offer ! Qantas MEL-BKK fr $600 SYD-BKK fr $606 on Expedia.ie - OzBargain

So Qantas has the flights to Bangkok on sales from Mel & Syd for $799 but when I checked expedia.ie those flights are starting from 476 Euro ($AUD600) ex Mel and 481 Euro ($AUD606) ex Syd. Plus 2-3% conversion fee. 0 if you use no currency conversion fee card. Even with currency conversion fee, its still very cheap for non low cost airlines. Booking class is N.
*** Please note that there is no direct flight from Melbourne and has to go to Sydney first.
According to QF website here is the travel period for $799
15 Jul 2012 to 18 Sep 2012 expires 15 June 2012 or sold out
10 Oct 2012 to 13 Nov 2012 expires 15 June 2012 or sold out
10 Jun 2012 to 21 Jun 2012
02 Feb 2013 to 14 Mar 2013

I used Cheap flights | Free flight comparison from Skyscanner.ie to look over the same flights and found the fare 10 euros less. Skyscanner directs me to a site called tripst.ie.

Interesting - if someone does go ahead and book one of these flights from either Aus or NZ I would be really interested to see what happens...

And incidently, how the h#*^ would that site be able to discriminate a person on the internet buying one of these fares from Norfolk Is from someone in mainland Australia?

I think that by purchasing with an Irish site technically the sale occurs in Ireland despite the buyers physical location.

I just tried Quoting through my GDS and was getting around this figure at AUD300 pls taxes, so given its quoting in an Aus GDS you should be able to purchase from Aus based sites or TA's
