Sweet! Thanks for the link.

Spent $90 there today, so hopefully I've registered in time!

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

Do I have to spend $50 or more in one transaction or is it coughulative spend over the offer period? It's not clear from the T&C.

With Dick Smith earning, it's per purchase transaction.

10 x $45 separate purchase transactions will earn no QFF points, 1 x $450 will normally earn 400 QFF points.

Or rather 0 QFF points in both cases and $450 MR Points in the second case. ;)

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

I think serfty was referring to the EDR case.

T&C for this one is:

Earn 5 Bonus Points for every $1 spent on purchases of $50 or more.

Yes you are probably right as $450 would earn 2250 MR bonus points plus 450 QFF plus more MR points based on your normal Amex earn of say 450 to 675 MR points.

I regsitered yesterday and had my first qualifying spend today. So I will see what occurs, though T&C states that points might take 8-10 weeks to post.

Was poking around the Amexnetwork site, and noticed a promotion for D!ck Smith where you get 5x points for a purchase over $50. See http://www.americanexpress.com/australia/personal/cards/rewards/partners/dicksmith.html (You'll have to fix the URL yourself :()

(There's also a $20 off bonus for over $100 at dicksmith.com.au

Hmm. That page has been changed. I recall it saying $100 when I looked earlier tonight.

Also tested it on the DSE website on a < $200 item, and it wasn't valid. Tried with a >$200 item and got:
Voucher: Spend $200 and Get $20 off

Value for this order: $20.00
Expiry date: 31/12/10

T&C for this one is:

Earn 5 Bonus Points for every $1 spent on purchases of $50 or more.

Yes you are probably right as $450 would earn 1750 MR bonus points plus 450 QFF plus more MR points based on your normal Amex earn of say 450 to 675 MR points.

Hmm, Isn't it 5 bonus points for every dollar spent on purchase of $50 or more. That would be 5 * 450 = 2250 points?

Pretty sure it said $100 when I saw it earlier in the day.

It was $200 last night when I looked as I specifically had a look at the DSE website to see if there was anything I wanted that would get to $200. I only got to $129.

One has to pay postage on most items too. Though with multiple items at once, the next two on what I looked at were no extra charge.

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

Time for some Wish giftcards?

Anyone claims to have seen $300?

5 Bonus points per $1 at D!ck Smith (must register) and $20 off for purchases $200+

Just got an email from AMEX and included in it is D!ck Smith as a new Bonus Partner. Details can be found at http://www.americanexpress.com/australia/personal/cards/rewards/partners.html - the registration code is DSMITH5X. Given the last time there was a promo including D!ck Smith it was possible to buy Wish cards and receive the promo points it could be a good strategy for some again.

Also there's a coupon code for $20 off for purchases of $200 or more on the D!ck Smith website - the code is AMEXDEAL - so another nice saving!

My 5x bonus for my first transaction has posted.

$90.00
Base Points 90
Platinum Credit Card Bonus Points 45
Dick Smith Bonus Points 450

Hmm. Now that I know it works, what will come next? ;)

That's my thinking....

Will buy a $100 one tomorrow and see what happens.:p

I need to buy a new laptop for an Xmas present... This latest promo is great

1.5 MR points for the first $50, then 6.5 MR thereafter
Then another
1 Qantas FF point after $50.

Will spend about $1000.

A nice MR/Qantas FF earner this one!!!
