It is long overdue that the world's best airport had it's own thread to enable departing / transiting / terminating pax to gain maximum enjoyment from the amazingly extensive range of facilities on offer to all.

Changi Airport website can be found here - all info you will ever require readily available. And terminal map here:

The Changi Transit Program involving the $20 Transit Vouchers has indeed been extended from Apr 1 - details here - basically no change to scheme that has been in operation last 12mths.

I had a 3.5hr transit in SIN last night 20:00 to 23:30. After a Krug / Margaux transfusion on 831 PVG-SIN I thought a quick dip in the pool in T1 would be ideal - and it was. Pool is location outside of Mezzanine level adjacent to Aerotel T2 end of T1. Pool details and usage fees here:

And drinks by the pool:

And food by the pool:

I only spent 1.5hrs there last night - there was only 1 other American girl using pool at same time - it is a seriuosly fabulous facility and I could easily spend multiple hours here. Large numbers lounges and table and chairs - if there was a group of you you could have serious fun here.

Pool is immediately adjacent to the short term Aerotel in T1 - here is rate card for Aerotel:

I am pretty sure S rooms are not self contained and you use shared showers but I have never stayed here so cannot confirm.

I think i have seen members posting cheaper cheaper rates but if they have can they please post links where / how they booked these cheaper rates?

Booked S room online in maybe Jan for early Feb ... Was USD38 for 6 hours.

I read somewhere on AFF a while ago there is a food court in the basement which is now for the workers at the airport but is also open to the public that is supposed to have good local food?

The small rooms are just a bed, small table and chair. Showers and toilets at the end of the hall.

My partner said this the other day! "I want to go to Changi Airport Staff Cantine for Hainanese Chicken Rice!". I said ok, meet me in TPR when you're done.

Just to confirm...

Our first trip is SYD-SIN(SQ)-FCO (EK) - Not eligible.
Return is LHR-SIN-SYD (all SQ) - Eligible

Any updates on the progress of the EK lounge? Still to be completed in April? Any opening date? I haven't seen any updates anywhere.

Two booking numbers. First is SYD-SIN, second is LHR-SIN-SYD. I suppose that could be considered two one-ways, but we would have to have an onward ticket flying into SIN..... which we do, but its on EK to FCO via DXB.

Pretty sure it would be considered a one-way ticket.

Presentation of your 2 etickets at Voucher counter will surely clarify it one way or another.

I'd advise against waiting in a queue for something you're clearly not entitled to, which is worth, what, SGD80 at most, and just enjoying the Changi experience.
