Fellow AFFer's,

Change of plans to my last request. Going to Europe instead.

Does anybody have any suggestions for flights CDG or LHR (Or anywhere in Europe really) in J/F for 2 adults and a baby to get us back to BNE in late January?

Have 600k QFF points remaining and am willing to pump $$ into MS donations to boost MR points to where they need to be, or buy AA or Dividend miles if there are options there.

Willing to negotiate suitable reward for a winning suggestion...

Many thanks in advance.

I'd go from LHR before CDG, that airport is a sh#t hole,30km's from the city and has some of the slowest security of any airport I've been to. Flying into Zurich is a very nice view if you haven't been.

This maybe a silly question, but have you tried doing a search yourself on the QF site?

There's ample availability showing back (multiple dates in late Jan) and some availability up - e.g. 1st of Jan.

Two business class returns on CX will run you 558000 points via HKG into CDG, ex BNE.

No such thing as a silly question, only my silly answer!

But yes, have spent lots of time searching QF, CX and SQ.

Really just trying to find the best value, IMO dropping 558k to fly CX point to point sucks when for 560k could do a J oneworld explorer (which is the plan next year)...

Only after a 1 way suggestion home for this trip, already booked QF JASA BNE-SIN and then SQ Suites SIN-CDG....

Your trip up sounds great - personally I think 139,000 points each isn't bad on CX with a reasonable co-payment of 276 Euro, if you have the QF points. Not quite as cheap as QF all way, but you do get to check out the Cabanas :)

CX at 139000 each isn't a bad deal, plenty of availability.

Thanks for the help everyone... ended up booking an FASA LHR-MEL and JASA MEL-BNE for 384k points and $3k all up for 2 adults and a baby! Hooray!
