Hi all,

My Father has some Asia Miles, which he won't be able to use. Is there anyway he can apply for a flight upgrade for me (non-Asia Miles member) flying on a CX ticket on CX metal?

I've been reading the Asia Miles FAQ, but I can't work it out.

TIA.

Should be fine. You may need to join, but your father just needs to add you to his redemption group.

Thanks equus. I called up in the end to get it sorted. I didn't need to join and as you said, he just added me to his redemption group and I was good to go. Looking forward to trying out CX J for the first time on the 333 ex BNE.

Hi

With CX points upgrade (for a CX ticket on CX metal, just to be clear), is there immediate confirmation or it is a lottery like QF ?

Does status play a part there at all or first come, first served ?

Thanks from a CX NB (but QF WP)

For me, doing it via the phone and not even having an Asia Miles account (let alone a MPC account) it was instant :).
