Further update on my situation.

The liver biopsy has come back negative.
Latest tumor markers CA 19-9 count is 4, down from 12000.
So now I am in a much more positive frame of mind.

I wanted to visit my parents before my surgery next week, so heading overseas today.
SQ J going out, EY F coming back.

Safe travels, and best wishes for your trip and the op next week :)

I haven't seen Frozen or Over The Hedge yet. I guess I will need to check out The Guardians, not sure I have heard of it.
Mulan is one I love to watch as well. Megamind was also entertaining but we watched it and Despicable Me back to back so I always have trouble picking a favourite. It might be Megamind, because of the way he plays "cars" with the real cars.

Frozen is from the makers of Tangled, so you should love it: Frozen Movie Trailer - Video Dailymotion

Rise of the Guardians (trailer): Rise of the Guardians: Official Trailer - YouTube
and the second one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd71LWhCO4s

Over The Hedge trailer 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BE77igZczlI (from creators of Madagascar and Shrek)

Excellent news and hopefully the surgery will be the end of your saga. Great to take your parents some good news

I can so relate to travelling in style (but I did mine post operative).

excellent. Huge drop in CA19-9. Good luck and safe travels

Wow, I'm learning more about other forms of cancer (something I never thought I'd get from AFF :o) - there should be so much more money for R&D...and it boils my blood (in frustration).

There is a lot of money spent on R&D but I can't but help think that if all the cancer research bodies were consolidated into 1 centre, that maybe the monies would be better spent than in the multiple centres that currently exist. Impossible dream, I know.

I've got some good news too. I now have a diagnosis & I have a staph infection rather than a unicorn bite. The antibiotics are working so I'm to continue to take them - things are healing nicely.

Perth status run is go. Just did a J points upgrade MEL - PER on the way over on a 330 (hopefully not Awful or Broken) but I have a 73 & no upgrades available in J on the way back. Trip will be Friday - Sunday & I'll have to do a TR. Decided to go Y for the rest of it to save points (SYD - OOL - MEL then PER - MEL - OOL - SYD on the way back.)

Now to go back off topic, I had a voice mail from my shift manager which was sent at 0010 today seeing how I am. Yes I was up anyway but if I'm at home, I have my phone in airplane mode because who knows what time some muppet is going to call me.

My wife makes me watch that every Christmas holiday season

Look on the bright side.....you might learn to like it by the time the grommets start appearing. Once that occurs - screening days will increase beyond x-mas ;)

My Christmas watch is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I can see my relatives in every character. Even Cousin Eddie. .

Ah.. it's not so bad. Reminds me, I need to grab my Mallrats DVD when I am back in Aus in a few weeks ;)

No 1 son (year 8) has been more talkative this afternoon! Seems the school is using "Embarrassing Bodies" to get into the nitty gritty of sex education and the importance of safe sex.

Looks like it's a winner for getting the point across

Woah. Have you seen that show? It's very informative but very graphic anatomically.

I wouldn't be game to have my bits shown on TV, especially if I had 'something tropical'

It's very much "no holds barred". I've definitely seen bits I didn't want to, but by the same token, I'm sure it helps numerous people who are too embarrassed to go to a doctor for fear of being afflicted with something so weird, they consider themselves freaks.

I reckon that Bodies Show would put the youngsters off everything for life!

Is that the same as the Embarrassing Disease show?
