Rewards night upgrade

Sorry if this has been covered, what's the best upgrade you have had on a rewards night?


Staying at IC Adelaide again, Rewards night, been upgraded to a suite plus club access. I'm
happy. I have had about 10 nights this year so far thou.

As an RA at the IC Adelaide I can only get either club or a suite on a paid night let alone both on a rewards night! You have done well!

That's the first time, had more than a single category upgrade. Must admit I was pleasantly surprised cause it wasn't
showing on account before arrival

Same goes for me - stayed there plenty of times and have never had both club access and suite at the same time.

I also stay there quite regularly, Just a tip for your next paid stay,
book a King Riverview Club Intercontinental you will receive Intercontinental
Suite with club access. I often use the PP Newsletter or bogo certificate
when booking,don't have a problem with availability on most occasions.
(Have a stay in August, that has been upgraded to a suite)

As you're a Royal Ambassador, you'll likely receive a King bed Executive Suite with club

Doesn't happen.

RA's don't get a two level upgrade from River View Club Intercontinental Room to Executive Suite. They will give you a suite or club access. If you've booked a club room they'll give you a suite but only an Intercontinental Suite (floors 5 to 12?). If an RA wants to get an Executive Suite upgrade you need to book an Intercontinental Suite and ask for club access to be added (there is no option to book such a thing on the ihg site) and they will give you a one level upgrade to Executive Suite. RA's are treated the same as an Ambassador's in this regard.

All depends on room occupancy, I have booked a river view non club and been given an Exec suite multiple times as RA, with club access.

Fair point. I'd still suggest there would be a fairly minimal chance of getting such an upgrade confirmed prior to arrival though.

Sorry I though a royal ambassador received a double upgrade. By the way Adelaide Inter is very generous with upgrades, I'm not saying you always get one, but yes they certainly look after their regulars.
