Poor value IMHO. I value IHG points at ~0.7 cpp so I'd be wanting a lot more than what's on offer via this promo.

Yes but given IHG propensity to close accounts which have breached their own (self defined) rules this offers a way to buy points which don't sail quite so close to the wind!!
