I am finding myself in DRW a lot lately and have finally arranged to meet up with fellow AFF'er Captain Halliday at The Duck Nuts for a few drinks and something to eat.

We are meeting at 6.30 pm if anyone would like to come along and say g'day.

It's still a little way off, but I will let you guys know if I am up there that week.

It will be my first AFF event. Looking forward to meeting anyone who can make it. Thanks to Steady for kicking off the thread.

Thread bump - calling all those DRW based AFFers!

Without a JASA I don't even know how I'd get there :p

That's a shame, it would be good to have our social ambassador attend - I am happy to be corrected but I think this will be the first AFF social event* in DRW?

*maybe event is not the right word as it looks like there will only be 2 of us...

maybe there's a reason there hasn't been an AFF event in DRW before steady. :)

I was at Shenanigans and then Monsoons the other day with my colleagues... They are both still "interesting" venues

If the venue is the only thing holding you back I am sure we can do something about that.. ;)

Venue is irrelevant :p

My comment was in jest. I will come if I am in Darwin, but I am likely to be elsewhere unfortunately. I think my colleague may be up there that week though.

I'll be there and make it 3 at least :).

The Deck Bar is always good on a Friday night. Another fave spot is Stokes Hill Wharf for is Siam Thai on the Wharf (need cash as no eftpos) but there is a bottle shop there which is the main thing.

Sounds like we will need to have more AFF meets in Darwin to try these places out - are you in the area for this one?

+1 for Siam Thai...

Although it is also hard to go past a traditional fish and chips on Stokes Hill Wharf (fresh local Barra of course :p)
