VA award flight search is charging the wrong points for miles to be flown on Delta.

hi there

been playing with the VA award search for delta flights in the USA. Ive been going off VA's official Reward seat table and have come across a few issues.
http://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/content/Redeem/Airlines/PointsTables/

for example
Tampa to LAX


on the chart it charges the correct economy points for those miles


but when i choose business for the same direct flight (same miles to be flown) it bumps me up into the next category for 2401-3600 miles



I don't understand?
is it 33,800 VA points or 47,800 VA points for 2154 miles flown?

anyone???'the same thing happens for

MCO-LAX...miles 2217...but charged in the next level for 2401-3600.

who do I chat to about this that can help me????

I didnt have the exact same problem but a similar one- when booking a return Delta award ticket on the Virgin website with points it would show a different cost(in points) to what it would show if i booked the two legs separately.ie the sum of the parts did not add up to the total. The taxes amounts also failed this logic. When i tried to book the cheaper option it failed on the credit card page a couple of times so i rang them up and they booked it for me and waived the telephone fee. They said i wasnt the first person to have dramas booking delta award fares through the Virgin website. In the end the taxes for the ticket she booked for me on the phone was a different number again. And a few days later when reviewing my velocity account i noticed that the one of the failed website bookings seemed to have gone through and deducted points. I rang them up and they refunded them instantly.

Clearly we are beta testing this new arrangement. Best get on the phone to them.

Thanks for letting us know about the above issue! The correct pricing for TPA-LAX in Business Class on DL is 33,800 points + taxes.

We have amended the pricing overnight and the correct fare is now available.
