From a quick search of the forum it appears nobody has posted a review of staying at a hotel in Riga previously.

Have any posters visited Riga? Where did you stay and what would your recommendations be?

Trip report including Riga stay here. The Radisson Blu was fine - easy walk to the Old Town and also the Art Nouveau gems.

We stayed there in 2005 so my info and recommendations are too out of date! I recall I watched the AFL grand final in an Irish pub & had a great day. Easy to get around and we enjoyed the company of the locals.

Highly recommended, easy to walk around, in 2012 we stayed at the Hanza Hotel which was fine, Latvia is not expensive. Vilnius in Lithuania is definately worth a visit as well, if you can fit it in.

I stayed at the Reval in 2009 and that's been rebadged as the Radisson Blu and would recommend it - bar at the top has a good view - good walking distance to places - I did a boat tour which was good - there are some interesting Art Deco buildings there as well - +1 for Vilnius - stayed at the Radisson in Vilnius and it was a lovely old hotel

I stayed here in 2013 winter, pretty good spot, right in the old town

Neiburgs Hotel, R in

I've seen that is also highly rated on TripAdvisor. Will consider.

Which room type are you considering? I was wondering if a family of 4 could fit in one of the bigger/higher priced suites.
