Exactly - you need to check JFK-LAX and LAX-SYD separately. As I understand it, QF11 is a 388 only as far as LAX, and then a 744 from LAX to JFK. If you search SYD-JFK, then you might have trouble with seat maps as the equipment changes mid-way, but should be ok if you separate them.
Isn't JFK-SYD QF18 on 744 whereas QF12 is LAX-SYD on 388?
Thanks for the speedy replies folks. Depart JFK 06/03.
??Not anymore. It's QF12 JFK-SYD now. JFK-LAX is a B744 and LAX-SYD is a A388. JFK-LAX is able to meet all LAX-AU flights under the new schedule, including QF96.
??
It was QF11 SYD-JFK and QF18 JFK-SYD after the last round of changes and renumbering of 107/108. Did they change it again with the SFO/AA SYD stuff?
If you are in a refurbed 747 then the beds are identical to the ones in the A380 in J. i.e. flat not angled. Obviously not as nice as F. You should still get PJs. 15 on the 747 means you are upstairs, which personally I prefer, but there are two schools of thought - nose vs upstairs.
They have taken one A380 and are doing DFW daily which is why LAX has lost the Tuesday flight. I don't remember side lockers in the nose - it is quite a confined space. Never sat further back, so don't know about there, Definitely side lockers upstairs. Row 3 looked more squashy to me as you have 6 seats there, so it looked closer together. Row 2 actually gives you the most space between the pairs of seats. The middle pair in row 3 does have more space in front of it, but there is a console thing where they put newspapers and magazines.Thanks. Yes, the QF email did say that it's refurbed. It is a Tuesday, so no F apparently according to a recent article - is that correct? I do like upstairs and in the old config in J I always got row 16 with heaps of room in front due to crew seating and exit row, so no need to worry the other seat person. I do like the side locker and make good use of. Does downstairs have side lockers?
Just looked at the seat plan for downstairs nose and row 3 seems to have a lot of space in front of it.
And serfty, row 5 is not available, I remember you said you like that one.
