Also nice, registered my card although I probably won't use it.

Just booked AY J BKK-CPH on Expedia using this card.

Do you guys actually keep using your Velocity cards after claiming the points?! Lol

Yeah mate, 2ppd on international spend, airlines and hotels. 3ppd at restaurants (or 1.48 and 2.22 SQ miles ;)). That's better than other cards I can get.

That's not too bad. Anyway I was joking, it's good to use those promo cards from time to time, helps getting approved when applying for more later :)

I was denied on my JQ AMEX plat application :( probably because I tend to cancel all those promo cards after getting the bonus points.

Gah! I guess it can't be applied retrospectively?

Many thanks for sharing this. Just booked a trip to NZ next year, combined with QF Business class NZ sale, return trip ADL-AKL $1200. Was considering booking another trip, this one will now push me over the lifetime Gold threshold, and the 2400 SC for the year, giving me an extra 50000 points!

Funnily enough was just thinking exactly the same thing.
Wonderful who'll be the guinea pig for that ?

I did purchase a flight, my point was unlike QF promotions, where you don't know if the bonus (points/sc etc) will post until after you have taken the flight, you get confirmation of your bonus ($50 credit) straight away with the Amex offer.
