I am looking for advice on the Asia Miles program. I have just joined and have points parked on a credit card to transfer when needed. I usually fly exclusively with SQ thru the KF program. I am very used to this program but finding everything very new at Asia Miles.
I need to book the following in J but there seems to be no availability and its 6 months away!:
Syd-Hkg 3/5/16, Hkg-Syd 15/3/16. also Hkg-Pek 5/5/16 and PEK- Hkg 14/5/16
Any ideas or tricks You can suggest?

Cheers,

Mitch :)

long haul CX is good for availability either far in advance (when the flight opens), or very close in (as in a week or so right up until departure). outside of that there can be a smattering of seats which can change from time to time.

otherwise, if the availability is gone it's a case of wait listing if you can, or sitting tight until close in.

it is unusual that HKG-PEK and vv, as stand alone segments (ie searched independently of the connecting flights from Australia) would be showing full at this stage. usually intra-Asia is pretty wide open for CX.

Thanks Mel,

I am not sure if I can wait until the last to book so I may just go the long route via SIN with SQ as I have done in the past.

Cheers,

Mitch
