I'm been trying to redeem Asia Miles for a return C award from SYD to KTM (Kathmandu) but both the CX and the Asia Miles websites only show awards on Qatar Airways... possibly because the SYD to HKG flights are on CX and the HKG to KTM flights are only on Dragonair ?!

Is there a way to mix CX and Dragonair flights in the same award redemption?

CX and KA can be combined on awards no problem. The main problem (reading other threads on the net) seems to be finding availability on the HKG-KTM sector. Have you searched each sector individually to see there is availability?

Ended up with SQ Suites awards out of DEL to SYD via SIN - DEL is only a short & cheap flight from KTM on AirIndia :)

Not on flights...but am just back from Nepal and did the Annapurna Base Camp Tea House Trek combined with Poon Hill after our last 2 treks in Nepal 3 decades back. we spent 14 days walking (most people would do the route we made up in about 12 days or less but we took it slower).

We enjoyed it even more than the last two treks.

If you need a guide/porter in the Annapurna/Pokhara region I can recommend the ones we used. (We arranged locally over there). No you don't need a guide and port but IMO you get more out of it, travel a bit easier and with the fuel blockade on and earthquake effects still being felt the locals need the income.
