Hi all, was looking for a VA/SQ alliance thread but I couldn't find a current one.

Wondering for VA silver - i see the benefits when travelling with their partner airlines, but i saw none for SQ. is it because the alliance with VA is different (and less) compared to other airlines like AirNZ and Etihad?

Thanks!

It appears so. I have to say, its been a while since I reviewed the Silver benefits and a lot of VA's partners are pretty generous! Priority boarding + extra luggage seems common

However, as you've observed, looks like SQ (and MI) as well as HA are not included in the family of 'generous' airline partners. You appear to need gold status to get something from them.

You will still earn FF and SC on SQ/MI however:

Yep, that confirms my understanding. Thank you!

VA PS flying SQ (unless with a VA flight number, then you get bonus points for flying as a PS on SQ with a VA flight number), otherwise its not much of benefit, not till you get to VA SG... when you get SK access where they do exist, not from my airport of ADL.

Hi AP. ADL does have an SQ lounge - have used it a number of times when flying SQ out of Adelaide. After passing immigration and the duty free stores, take a left, head towards the newsagency and then down the escalator. The lounge will be on your left (sort of behind the escalator).
