Happy new year! Just wondering what the cancellation policy is on points tickets. Looking to travel with +1 to Europe in August and want to take advantage of guaranteed reward seats to utilise 600k Pts. Question is that if we have to cancel due to job change/family circumstances are the points and fees refundable? Presume the fees would go to travel bank. Many thanks!

From memory, to cancel, it was $60 or 6000 points per PNR.

Hi kiwiSH!

Policy is here: http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/e...ewardseat/#international-and-partner-airlines, and the below applies to both cancellations and changes.

Cancellations must be requested at least 24 hours prior to first scheduled departure and refunds are subject to a 7,500 Points or $60 charge per guest per booking.

(Their typo in 'permitted' ;))
