After advice for best economy fare to Europe ( LHR) in June/July?? Possible option for stopover in Asia

Looking at 26.6 syd -lhr (Could be BHX / MAN etc )
Depart UK 15.7 , looking for 3 days stop in Asia on the way back
 
Bali is a cheap fare at the moment with jetstar and from there to KL to pick up an etihad or Qatar ticket from KL to LHR and back to Oz would see you flying the whole trip for $1500 perhaps depending on dates/destination...

Or book Air Asia direct to KL - it's usually pretty cheap too.
