Hi All,

I know that VA International J seats have been scarce of late.

Does anyone have any idea when they actually release seats. I have tried the last couple of days for seats @ 330 days out but am convinced that none have been released.

The funny thing is that Delta flights to LAX are released on the Velocity site @330 days.

Anyone know what they are actually doing??

Thanks

VA doesnt regularly open award seats the day the schedule opens unfortunately. In my experience it is somewhere around 300 days out but different people will tell you different things. They do aggressively sell their UpgradeMe bids in place of opening up last minute seats so it feels like that limits the last minute award seats as well.

Thanks Scottz95.

Looking at availability that looks correct as there are award seats showing as available in late November at the moment

I am struggling to find any reward seats available for syd-lax aug/sep/oct. are they just not releasing reward seats for business/premium for these months or are they all sold already?

That isn't really suprising. VAs pulling all their 777s in over July/August to refit them with their updated J and Y+ products. They have probably also locked out awards in the following couple of months in case the schedule runs overtime which seems to happen (after all, originally, the seats were suppose to be in by the end of this month).

It would be worth searching for any possible Delta award availabilty at the time and if VA opens up space close to the date, pay the award change fee to move back to VA, its only $65 after all so it really doesnt cost much at all thankfully

Thanks for clearing this up for me!
