Clearly a mistake fare - already pulled before I could ticket it.
Anyone manage to get one?

I saw a post on OzBargain for the SYD to LAX one way. It was deleted minutes later as the fare was gone. As for other mistake fairs I know of a couple of twitter accounts that do it but for the whole world so only about 5% of tweets have any relevance to Australia.Excuse my ignorance but how do you guys find these fares? Do you keep searching online or do you have a source that notifies you of unusually low prices?

It didnt last long, and not just on the VA website.
There's a thread on Flyertalk, and I get an email notification of new posts. As noted it's very US- and Euro-centric but the odd Asia or Australian fare pops up. I don't think this popped up there. It was posted on Frequent Flyers Australia (a Facebook group) but I didn't see it until too late... Well done to those that bagged one.

What a fantastic deal! Great way of trying VA's new J. So annoyed I missed this.
We missed out, but even if you could get in, it was on Delta metal only.
strezza is that your real life picture? If YES then bugger the cheap fares - best you come along to a MEL AFF do as penegal and I are always craving input from those directly involved in the industry.
No, actually it WAS VA metal also, but VA pulled ALL 'I' class availability on their metal first but DL codeshare was still available until they pulled the fare.

I didn't know; the first news I got (after the fact) was on DL metal. Wow, just wow, if you got it on VA metal; very lucky indeed.
I'm not sure about what Cruiser Elite said, but if you work as an agent then you are in high demand here. It is very hard to find an agent that understand the mind set of FF travel.
