VA MEL-JFK return in J - $1499

Clearly a mistake fare - already pulled before I could ticket it.

$608 one way in business from SYD to LAX also popped up on OzBargain but was gone by the time I got there.

I saw a post on OzBargain for the SYD to LAX one way. It was deleted minutes later as the fare was gone. As for other mistake fairs I know of a couple of twitter accounts that do it but for the whole world so only about 5% of tweets have any relevance to Australia.

I am in the industry (non airline) so product desk pushes alerts to us - would be much harder for those not working in the industry

There's a thread on Flyertalk, and I get an email notification of new posts. As noted it's very US- and Euro-centric but the odd Asia or Australian fare pops up. I don't think this popped up there. It was posted on Frequent Flyers Australia (a Facebook group) but I didn't see it until too late... Well done to those that bagged one.

I'm an agent and was quoting LAX flights all day, so when one repriced to this, I jumped on it and ticketed immediately! I think I made it by a few seconds. Wasn't up for long.....

Same here. I was in a few meetings back to back and by the time I read the FB page, the fare had been pulled :-(

We missed out, but even if you could get in, it was on Delta metal only.

No, actually it WAS VA metal also, but VA pulled ALL 'I' class availability on their metal first but DL codeshare was still available until they pulled the fare.

I'm not sure about what Cruiser Elite said, but if you work as an agent then you are in high demand here. It is very hard to find an agent that understand the mind set of FF travel.

I had VA metal held for a sec but then changed my dates and that's when they pulled availability. Doh!! So got DL metal but who cares for that price?!? I alerted a colleague who posted it on the facey page so hopefully a few got them
