I'm seeking advice on whether there might be any way at all I can get my parents access to a lounge while in Abu Dhabi...

I am Velocity Platinum and have booked my parents flights with Etihad (economy) for next week from UK to Sydney.
Has anyone any experience of securing such lounge access for family when not travelling themselves, or perhaps could think of a way / who I should call?

Thanks
Alex

Sorry, but there's definitely no way to guest in without being there.

They do offer a pay per use option , however this is restricted based on how busy the lounge is

Very little chance of getting into the Etihad lounges themselves. If you really wish them to have lounge access then Prioity Pass (to access the Al Rheam lounge) is probably your best bet.

Guested by some Platinums on the same flights would be the best bet. You'd probably need two of them, as well. I'd help if I could - will be passing through AUH on the way back to SYD this Friday night at 10 pm.

Velocity Platinum won't help you if you aren't a pax. There are numerous paid lounge options in AUH.
