Problems with online application

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had any issues applying for AMEX online?

I have tried with my family to get them on the Platinum Edge but it's not accepting their business address which has to be included. We've asked for a hard copy of the application form but they say they can't provide it if it's for a professional association card (e.g. engineers australia).

Has anyone managed this before? We have tried a few variations on the format of the business address without success...

Have you tried contacting your professional association to get the paper form?

I have a tricky residential address but probably not as bad as your family. Usually, those automatic address check doesn't like multiple street numbers e.g. 1-3, 3/75-77. My business address is something along the first example, so I pick one street number either 1 or 3. My residential address is more like second example and usually U 3, 75 or U 3, 77 will work. Good luck!

I've had the same think with residential addresses, it can sometimes be that the Australia Post database has your address something like this:

Unit 45
Building Name
1 Fantastic Street

Or

U 45 1 Fantastic Street.
