SIN>SYD Classic Award Availability

Wish I had found this forum years ago.

As per my other recent post I am heading to Asia next Feb on Emirates F out of Melbourne.

I am looking for a return leg Classic Reward on or around 1st March 2017 from SIN>SYD or MEL using Qantas/Emirates. I can find Qantas Y rewards but nothing for J.

This will be a one way booking originating in Sing, is that the issue? Or is that I'm too far out from departure.

When you type in SIN as your departure point you get transferred to QF's .sg website so that shouldn't be the problem. Also it is <353 days till departure so that shouldn't be the problem either.

More likely either no J classic reward seats were made available for that date or else someone else has snaffled them up already. Neither of those would surprise me in the least.

I don't know what status you have but you could try ringing and asking for seats to be released or if there is any MH award availability (or possibly BA?). Or you could consider paying for JQ seats in their version of J (assuming you don't want to pay for a QF one-way fare which would be very expensive. Not sure how much EK charges for one way fares).

Keep an eye out for EK seats, otherwise you may consider routing through Hong Kong on Cathay.

Thanks for this. My father-in-law is platinum and I got him to check - he can see availability but no EK yet. Will wait on them becoming available and get him to book. Thanks so much.
