No intention of using it though. I'm now using QF domestic (Plat) and QR/SQ/CX internationally (ex-Perth).

I just got it as well - after falling from Plat through Gold to Silver over the past 2 years, this will help me regain Gold. Happy days

It certainly appears so, as each email is personalised with name, VFF number and points balance. Would have thought that with a double SC offer they'd have put our current SC balance as well - but obviously commensense doesn't play a part in it.

Now I do have a trip to PER to book (was going to go one way with QF and the other with VA) but this might tip the balance...so long as schedules and $$ are okay.

Pretty sure all emails from VFF have name, VFF number and points balance.

I'd say it's targeted because I know a few WP's that have not received it. I havent received it and have to book a trip to BKK and MNL in mid-June, double SC would've been a great start to my next year

i got it, does anyone know if double status credits are available on only one flight in the period? or is it for all flights booked within the period?

Email subject line was "Your exclusive fast-track to Platinum membership", so I would say it is targeted at Gold members. At the moment I'm only on 220 SC's with my year ending at the end of September.

haven't received it either... would really help push me over the final few points to WP. So annoying how SCs drop off at incremental intervals - i feel like a mouse on a treadmill at the moment

I got the email too. I rarely fly VA but am currently 60 SC short of Silver. I don't really need any status with Virgin, but I think I will probably take advantage of this and go for it anyway. For 3 short flights (thanks to the offer) that I'll probably have taken anyway, albeit on QF, I think it's probably worth it.
